The Finland Society distributes grants issued by the Finnish Ministry of Education and Culture to Finnish expatriate communities once a year. Grants for 2021 can be applied from November 1, 2020 to February 28, 2021.
The grants are issued primarily to Finnish expatriate communities for cultural and hobby activities. You can find out about the application conditions in the attachments listed below. In 2021, we will particularly target grants toward the development of expatriate communities’ digital services and activities.
Grants are not given to private individuals for studies, nor are they issued retroactively.
In issuing the grants, the Finland Society follows the criteria and conditions set out by the Ministry of Education and Culture. As of the beginning of 2017, we request all applicants to print out an agreement on issuing and spending the grant as well as supervision of the use and conditions from the link below. The applicants must read through and sign the agreement and either attach it to the application or send it to the Finland Society by post, or scanned by email.
Instructions for applying for grants, the grant agreement as well as electronic application and report forms are provided below. If you wish to have a copy of your application, print it out before sending in the application.
